AMN Executive Member Elect, Edward Nii-Odartey Mills is a well-focused and result oriented geologist with over 25 years of experience in both exploration and mining geology, Edward has worked mainly on large scale mining projects in Ghana, Tanzania, Mali, Rwanda, DRC and Burundi, and on a copper-gold-silver project in B.C. Canada.

On most of the projects in Africa, he had been faced with the conundrum of artisanal small scale miners (ASM), with some resulting in conflict and avoidable tensions, which invariably disrupts fieldwork and increases operation cost. He has had the opportunity of working on a gold project (Damang Gold Mine, Ghana) from the early stages of exploration through the feasibility and development stages to the first gold pour, rising through the ranks to the position of senior mine geologist.
